IDEAS fully integrated diskless Linux solutions address low cost of ownership, simplified maintenance and Government classified computing/ security issues. Each node in the above configuration boots from it's NIC and seeks an available Linux Diskless Server on the network for it's Linux O/S and network configuration. Any home directories DO NOT need to be on the diskless Linux server. All Network attached servers or appliances can be used, decreasing any need for additional hardware and solidifying your current IT investment.

With the trend toward Gigabit and faster network topologies with switched 100baseT/CAT5 to the desktop, file transfers faster than resident Hard Disk drives are typical.
